International news Egypt: Army rejects pressure from civilians:
Date November 27,2011
Egypt's military ruler warned no one will be allowed to pressure the armed forces on new PM issue.
Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi asked leading politicians Mohamed Elbaradei and Amr Mussa to support newly appointed Prime Minister Kamal al-Ganzuri, despite vehement rejection of the nomination from protesters in Tahrir Square.
On the other hand, Muslim Brotherhood said majority in parliament should be tasked with forming a government.
It is expected to be the biggest party after Egypt s first post-revolution polls.
"The future government is supposed to represent the people," spokesman Mahmud Ghozlan told AFP ahead of the start of voting on Monday.
The ruling military council "must task the party which gains the biggest number of seats to form the next government," he said.
